However, the higher level the weapons are the more modifiers they will come with. Dropping from a high height can stun enemies or simply kill them outright.Īs you progress, the weapons and skills you find will increase in strength. It can also be used as an attack, it will damage enemies around where you land. This can be used to dodge an attack while in the air or simply to descend faster. Pressing jump while holding down will cause you to perform a stomp, rapidly crashing to the ground. THE STOMPĪ manoeuvre that is not immediately obvious is the stomp. In particularly hectic situations with a lot of enemies, it is advisable to roll away as it will save you more health than staying among a group of enemies. Also, you can attack any enemy to regain that health. If you get hit and don't expect to immediately get hit again, try counterattacking to retain some of that lost health. This health is recoverable, and you recover it by attacking enemies. ![]() When you get hit, you may notice that a portion of the health bar turns orange and steadily drains. Therefore, speedrunning is never truly worth it. However, there are often more Cells, Weapons, and Scrolls in the level than are behind these doors. They are not worth it though, as behind them are the items you missed by speedrunning. The only way to get past them is to speedrun until that point. These doors close permanently after a certain amount of time. This is incredibly important when starting Dead Cells, as you can find blueprints for new weapons as well as scrolls to upgrade The Prisoner's stats for that run.Īs you explore, you will come across doors that look like an hourglass, telling you they closed some amount of time ago. Know the enemies attacks and prioritise enemies who are of a more immediate threat, such as projectile-based enemies.īy traversing the levels slowly, it allows you to explore. Whenever possible, come up with a plan before you jump into a fight. ![]() On top of that, Health is a precious resource early on, as you cannot heal. Therefore, there is no need to rush through a level. This makes the daily challenge a bit easier.Using skills a lot is key to surviving in dead cells as they can often be used to take out tougher enemies without directly engaging with them in combat.Įnemies don't respawn in Dead Cells. all stays the same but they can’t teleport after you like in 4 and 5 BC. Enemies that are locked after BC can still spawn if you are playing on 0 BC for example but that is not the most important bit. Tip for the Daily Challenge (Slight Spoiler for 4 BC)ĭon’t do the daily challenge on 4 or 5 BC. The philosopher’s stone is very rare and if found most likely gives you the number one spot in the ranking (let’s be honest 75.000 points wtf). (Malachite/amethyst/ruby and Philosopher’s stone). Points Without KillingĬhests: opening gives +20, cursed chests give +5 on opening and +25 on surviving the curse. Each star-bonus only lasts for 15 seconds. These give a 5 point bonus per enemy killed and can be stacked (5/10/15/… per enemy for 1/2/3/… picked up stars in short succession). In the level are blue stars that can be picked up. Normal enemies can give points ranging from 2 to maximum 12 (depending on the enemy) Points don’t change for enemies (each enemy is worth the same amount every run, every day and this applies to all enemies of the same kind).Įlites are worth the normal amount of point * 5 (ranging from 10 to 50 (not all enemies have elites otherwise it would be 10 to 60)).ĭefeating the concierge gives 270 points. Scrolls are spread normally throughout the level but they can be epic scrolls (+1 to all stats, also found in cursed chests). Gear is found on pedestals and in (sometimes cursed) chests mostly. You don’t need to search a switch if the biome-style is sleeping sanctuary. (Slumbering sanctuary biome style can be both versions. The style and background change every day with the map itself so it looks like another biome. Dying or running out of time will still save your score. You have 4 minutes and 30 seconds for a run. The boss at the end is always the concierge. The map is randomly generated as a normal run but can have a big variety in enemies (does not contain all kind of enemies). Runs do not need to be consecutive for the unlocks. Every day only 1 run counts towards completion. Unlocks (see blueprint column in the gear sections). Note: the challenge resets at midnight UTC +1 (time zone of the dev’s, France). I’ll explain the point system but I’ll not give the points for each specific enemy.
