Other ways to do this are by spelling FANCY and GENTLEMAN.īeat the game without using the Wordscrambler Simply push the letters together with, pull up the Wordscrambler with, spell HAT and the achievement will unlock. Obviously the easiest way is to simply spell HAT, which can be done right at the beginning of Chapter 1 when you roll down the hill and all the letters in CHAPTER ONE are available. This achievement unlocks by spelling certain easter egg words that put a top hat on your character. If you managed to beat the game without dying more than 5 times, and survived the Antonymizer grind, congratulations on another completion! Edited Jby Necrophage33 For the price, it is definitely well worth a purchase, and you'll even get some decently easy gamerscore out of it. The achievements aren't too taxing, and there is a pretty decent variety to be enjoyed. It is a pretty short game, but the puzzles are fun to solve. Typoman: Revised is a very simple game with some really interesting art and level design, especially if you appreciate how all the letters and words are tied into the game. It will probably take as long to finish all of these words as all other achievements combined, so be prepared for a lot of time to be spent in this mini game. ![]() It is a fun little game at first, enjoyable to figure out antonyms to work out the solution to create the word, but with 165 words required, it very quickly becomes a very tedious grind. Beating it requires spelling all 165 of the easter egg words in the game that have some special effect, but with the catch that you only have certain letters available, and need to use the LIE creature to create antonyms to give you access to more letters. The Antonymizer mini game is separate from the main game and can be worked on at your leisure. Step 5: Complete the Antonymizer Mini Game There are very few difficult areas in the game, so with some patience and a little practice, this achievement is very readily obtainable. It may sound pretty intimidating at first, but it is actually not very difficult. Your last achievement related to the main game will be completing it without dying more than 5 times. Step 4: Complete the game with no more than 5 deaths Once you know all the puzzle solutions and routes to take, a playthrough takes around 45 minutes or so, so this achievement can be knocked out pretty quick. You could definitely combine them into a single playthrough (I ended up dying 6 times in my "no Wordscrambler" playthrough), but to avoid the extra stress, I'd recommend keeping them separate. Step 3: Complete the game without using the WordscramblerĪt this point you've got to complete the game without using the Wordscrambler, and without dying more than 5 times. Refer to the relevant descriptions in the guide below for where to unlock the achievements and for mopping up the Quotations. Step 2: Mop up any missed Quotations and achievementsĪfter completing the game, you'll probably be missing a handful of Quotations and a bunch of miscellaneous achievements. Doing this and watching the Epilogue and Credits will net you the 4 story-related achievements and the achievement for watching the Epilogue and Credits, and you may even unlock a couple miscellaneous achievements along the way. Collect as many as you can and play through the game to beat it. The majority of them are either completely visible on screen, or there is an obvious alternate path to take. During your playthrough, keep on the lookout for Quotations. There are 3 chapters and a prologue, and it should only take a couple hours at most to finish the game. The first thing you'll want to do is simply play through the game. Speaking of achievements, let's get started on earning them. There are also two minigames that can be played outside of the main game, only one of which must be beaten for the achievement. Achievement-wise, there is nothing too complicated aside from completing the game without dying more than 5 times, and even that isn't too difficult. It may sound like a strange combination, but the gameplay is very smooth, with some clever but not too difficult puzzles, and a very simple yet enjoyable story. ![]() Welcome to Typoman: Revised, a 2D puzzle platformer that plays and is designed much in the style of Limbo, but with the added element of Boggle-style letter manipulation to make words that have effects on the world and can be used to solve puzzles. Unobtainable/glitched achievements: "Versatile" is glitched in that you need to meet the requirements 10 times to unlock the achievement, despite the achievement giving no indication of that Does difficulty affect achievements: No difficulty ![]() Missable achievements: None (chapter select available) Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 (but plan on at least 2 or 3) Approximate amount of time to 1000 : 15-20 hours
